A beautiful vessel with no shortage of innovations and masterfully-crafted spaces with top notch designers and architects.

Celebrity Cruises, subsidiary of the group Royal Caribbean Cruise Ltd., unveiled the first of its liners in the Celebrity Edge Class at the recent SeaTrade Cruise Global event in Miami.

Construction started in the St-Nazaire shipyard at the end of 2016 and the Celebrity Edge’s itinerary program starts in December 2018 with an offering of 7-night cruises around the Caribbean, setting sail from Fort Lauderdale.

All aboard for a visit!

  • Capacity: 2,918 passengers
  • Tonnage: 129,500 GT
  • Length:  306m
  • Width: 39m
  • Draught: 8.2m
  • Maximum speed: 22 knots.
  • Decks: 16

First innovation, the cruise ship will have a new style of cabin equipped with verandas that provide 23% more living space.

Passengers travelling in the Suite class will be able to take advantage of their very own deck and its swimming pool, with a nearby private lounge and restaurant.

Two new Iconic Suites will be situated on each side of the bridge. They offer a very broad, 270° panoramic view of the sea.

Several gardens will also be featured, like the Rooftop Garden located on the uppermost deck, which will be decorated with numerous plants. Swimming pools and sun decks are also planned.

An astonishing innovation: the Magic Carpet!

Put forward by STX France, it is an external terrace the size of a tennis court ‘hovering’ on the ship’s side that can move up and down.

It can become “an extension to the swimming pool on deck 14, or a restaurant on deck 16 serving “Dinner on the Edge” for 90 passengers, or a bar with a stunning wraparound view on deck 5. It can also transform into the Destination Gateway, an embarkation platform for shore-bound launches….,” explains the press release.
